Residential Drainage and Driveway Repaving | Canterbury, CT

At this Canterbury property there were only forty feet of compromised pavement: the rest of the driveway was in good shape. We excavated the troubled area down two feet to remove all of the non-structural base, and installed a stonier, gravel base. After we fine graded, we paved with a Class I mix which is a more commercial mix, meaning it is more structurally sound. We backfilled all of the edges and fixed a washed out area in the yard – a result of the troubled area in the driveway. The curb along the road was created to keep the water going by the property. We designed it so the mailbox would still be easily accessible by vehicles. One week later the grass was growing! You can see in the photo the home owner had raked up some of the excess mulch but it is not necessary to do so.
